Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh!

March is the month of Ireland and as we celebrate St Patrick's Day and all things Irish we ask you to please stand with us to help those that need our

support across our focus areas of peace, culture, education and community development.

Every donation small or large helps us to support those that need it most.

A significant proportion of our grants have focused on education most notably: Integrated Education in Northern Ireland a journey of over 35 years. Scholarships to promising young people to help them attend University through No Mind Left Behind.

Community Development, supporting communities across the island of Ireland and in Australia has been incredibly rewarding especially in circumstances where we have played a role in linking approaches between Australia and Ireland –where solutions which are having an impact, here are transported to Ireland and vice versa – two great examples are Men’s Sheds an Australian initiative with over 400 sheds in Ireland and the REACH/ SOAR partnership inspired by the late Jim Stynes who came to Australia on a football scholarship. He co-founded Reach in Melbourne to help young people shape their own lives.

Public Private partnerships are essential in delivering major structural change and thanks to a major donor we are delighted to support the establishment of the first ever integrated cancer care centre, across the island of Ireland, the Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute.

We are a network with a purpose. We bring people together from all parts of the world to have fun, spend time with like-minded company giving us all joy, whilst giving back to those in need. Striving to be the largest network of friends of Ireland around the Globe, being a part of the Ireland Funds family means that together we can make a huge difference.

We have had a busy start to the year and are planning opportunities to bring our community together. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our events soon and in the meantime get your shamrock ready and come together for some craic agus ceol!
